In-Depth 'Innerviews'
By Patrick Jarenwattananon
August 23, 2010

Anil Prasad does in-depth interviews with musicians under the brand Innerviews. One of the great things about what Prasad does is that he seems to be interested in all different types of music, so that jazz musicians mix it up with rock, folk, "world," composition-oriented and other unclassifiable un-genres. He's got a book of these interviews coming out Oct. 19, featuring chats with McCoy Tyner, Joe Zawinul, Stanley Clarke, and David Torn—among others. He also has a new iPhone app for reading these interviews on the go. And of course, there is the massive archive, dating back well over a decade.
